Silverado Car for Lunch

Each of our rail cars were restored with an eye toward authenticity. The Silverado Car retains the original open air feel, it is the only car that was not restored with air conditioning.

As such, a ride in the Silverado Car is a ride more close to nature. Hot summer days can see the temperature in the Silverado Car soar into the 90's. But on most days, Napa Valley has beautiful weather. If you are concerned, that you might be uncomfortable your best bet (and a great value) is the Gourmet Cars.

The Silverado, was refurbished and put on line in 1998. Decorated in a rustic style reminiscent of a Hollywood Western, this Rail car has quickly become a favorite with its casual atmosphere and sliding windows to capitalize on the wonderful moderate climate of the Napa Valley. Only the train fare is prepaid in the Silverado and during lunch, meals are ordered off of a menu. You can eat as little as you like, and pay as you go. If you are hungry and can't resist the fabulous meals, think about about the Gourmet Car. It is the BEST deal for a four-course lunch in the Valley. In the Silverado car, the view takes precedence. This is our low cost option.

Immediately adjoining the Silverado Car is the Wine Tasting Car which is open to all train passengers.

The Silverado Car can be chartered for groups up to 50. Special three course meal packages are available for groups offering a choice of entrees. Meals are always freshly prepared. We ask that you do not board the Train with food purchased or prepared elsewhere.
