Charles Krug Winery, established in 1861 by a Prussian immigrant, was the first winery in Napa Valley. Now under the guidance of Peter Mondavi Sr., Charles Krug Winery honors its roots while forging ahead to the future. From the Wild West to the twenty-first century, relatively humble beginnings gave way to the finest form of winemaking.
Boarding the motorcoach once more, the Trip travels along the Silverado Trail, on the east side of the Napa Valley, to Raymond Vineyards. Located in the very heart of the Napa Valley’s wine growing region, but still off the beaten path, Raymond Vineyards is certified organic, Biodynamic®, and 100% solar powered. Today, inspired by the vision of Proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset, Raymond is a diverse destination dedicated to inspiring its guests’ passion for fine wine in an environment of exploration, creativity, and elegant whimsy. Explore Raymond’s winemaking facilities while tasting a selection of their wines.
A leisurely half hour ride down the rest of the Silverado Trail returns you to the Wine Train Station.
All of our winery tours require moderate stair climbing and standing for extended periods. We encourage guests who may have difficulty performing these two activities to consider one of our dining journeys.
In the spirit of traditional rail seating, you may share a table with another party.
