Travel In Style

Experience the classic antiquity of luxurious train travel on a Pullman rail car, originally built in 1915. Elegant white-clothed tables line each side, complementing the natural wood and etched-glass interior design.

10:30 AM | Your Journey Begins

The journey starts at McKinstry Street Station as you check-in with our team and queue to board. Now’s the perfect opportunity to learn about the Wine Train’s history and all it took to restore the station.

10:50 AM | Boarding Call

Blanketed by Valley sunshine, you board the railcar and prepare to embark on your journey. As meal service begins, the car fills with intoxicating aromas, and your excitement begins to bubble.

11:30 AM | Time to Depart

When the locomotive’s whistle sounds, the train gathers momentum and begins to depart the station. Lunch is served, and you indulge in a flavorful experience, one designed to heighten your senses.

12:30 PM | Grgich Hills Estate Tasting

You arrive at Grgich Hills Estate, where a one-hour seated tasting awaits. At their Rutherford property, you will sample a collection of world-class wines.

1:30 PM | Indulge in Dessert Onboard

Back on board, as you reminisce about the wines and stories of Grgich Hills Estate, coffee and tea service begins, featuring a sweet-and-savory creation from our chef. The combination makes for a short ride back to the station.

2:30 PM | Farewell For Now

Your ride through Napa Valley, complete with a one-of-a-kind experience comes to an end. We say goodbye for now but look forward to welcoming you back on board the Wine Train in the near future.

Additional Notes

Please note, our menu’s change seasonally and additional drinks are not included. 

Our winery tours require moderate stair climbing and standing for extended periods. We encourage guests who may have difficulty performing these two activities to consider one of our dining journeys.

Grgich Hills Winery Tasting and Wine Train

Toni our tour guide was awesome and kept the crowd in engaged! The wine was wonderful and the train ride worth the price! 

Amazing Lunch Time Ride

Napa Wine train… let’s say it was such an amazing experience. The staff was very knowledgeable about the vineyards and the views were beautiful!. I did the 3 hour Grgich lunch tour and it was worth it. Inside had an antique feel and great for photos!

Lovely Views, Gourmet Meal

From start to finish, this was the perfect day out with 3 dear friends. The booking concierge was so kind and patient helping us select the best experience (one of our party has minor mobility concerns), and even set us up for early boarding. The beautiful Pullman dining car was so pretty we felt like we were on a movie set; we kept looking for Hercule Poirot to appear. The gourmet food choices were all superb, and our server was friendly and helpful. After our spectacular gourmet lunch we disembarked for a fascinating walking tour of Grgich Hills Estates Winery. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned a great deal. And oh, the wine! Excellent tasting selections! Enjoying dessert and coffee after re-boarding the train capped off a perfect day. What’s not to love?!

Amazing experience, tour guide, group, and food! We stopped at Grgich Hills Estate which had the best Chardonnay I have ever had!

Wonderful Birthday Celebration!

Awesome birthday celebration. My group choose lunch and a stop at Grgich Winery! A great choice! The stop really added the special touch to the experience. Great service. Good food options. And a special treat for my birthday. We also enjoyed the tastings at the train station before boarding the train. Thanks for the photo backdrops at the station also. Great options for purchase to take after the train ride.
