A CHANDON and Napa Valley Wine Train collaboration, the Afternoon Tea experience draws delicious parallels between wine and tea to awaken your palate. As you sip, you’ll also indulge in a selection of classic sweet and savory accompaniments.

Anticipation builds at McKinstry Street Station as you check in with our team and queue to board. While you wait, you learn more about the Wine Train’s history and restoration efforts in the station.

11:00 AM | Welcome Aboard

You board your train, ready for a whimsical and unforgettable afternoon tea service. Now, it’s almost time to depart the station. The scenic splendor of the Valley awaits, and the excitement is palpable.

11:30 AM | Sip & Savor at Tea Time

The sound of our locomotive’s whistle fills the air, and we’re on our way. Soon, you’re greeted with a welcome CHANDON Garden Spritz cocktail. The day is only beginning to bloom while you indulge in artfully crafted teas and accompaniments. For an extra indulgence, add a caviar course paired with CHANDON Napa By the Bay blanc de noirs, Carneros AVA.

Superb Afternoon in the Napa Wine Country

The Napa Valley Wine Train was a great experience. We selected the Afternoon Tea experience to celebrate a birthday. The train was very comfortable, the tea and food were awesome, and the service was excellent. Of course, the scenery throughout the trip was beautiful. Highly recommend the Wine Train for a special afternoon through the wine country.

This is a must not miss experience! The tea train was beautifully decorated and we had such a friendly staff will to accommodate all our dietary restrictions.

The Napa Wine Train was absolutely amazing. We rode the afternoon tea ride. And it was the best ever.

Exceeded Expectations

Went on the afternoon tea booking in the gorgeously decorated car sponsored by Chandon–the Afternoon Tea is the only car with this special decor. My mom and son were so surprised at the quality of the food and the incredible service by Michell and Jose on board. We had Aperol Spritzes when we sat down and we ordered additional glasses of champagne for the sandwich course. There was so much food and it was delicious! The out and back was entirely enjoyable, and I have been to Napa about 2-3x per year for many years but have never even thought to ride this train. Even if you are a regular at Napa, this is a truly fun experience. This was the perfect thing to do with my mom who walks with a walker. Loved it, and would come back again for another experience with my husband!

45th Memory Time

We wanted to celebrate our Wedding anniversary in a significantly different way so it was memorable. The Napa Valley Wine Train Afternoon Tea was perfect. The trip was just far enough from our home but not too far to drive — a little over an hour away. Overall the experience was was perfect for us.
