Aboard the six-hour Legacy Experience — our full day of adventure — you’ll embark on an indulgent Napa Valley journey with stops at Charles Krug and V. Sattui wineries, featuring a combined 200 years of winemaking experience. During this experience, you’ll enjoy a sumptuous four-course meal onboard, savor a one-hour wine tasting in our newly remodeled open-air Pullman rail car in front of the iconic Welcome to Napa Valley sign, and gaze out at expansive vineyard views as far as the eye can see. All before ending your day with dancing on the way back to the station.
Discover the wine that put Napa Valley on the map as we take you from the rail lines to the vines, with a gourmet lunch on the Wine Train before heading to historic Grgich Hills Estate, home to the world-famous winemaker Mike Grgich. There, you’ll disembark for a one-hour seated tasting hosted by the Grgich Hillsteam, accompanied by estate-grown selections and stories of its longstanding history. Next, you’ll walk the hallowed estate grounds where you learn how Mike Grgich made history with his 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay at the 1976 Paris Tasting. During harvest season, experience an age-old maceration method with grape stomping at Grgich Hills before taking part in a festive tasting of organic reserve wines.
